I have no problems setting this up,very easy.
We now go camping a few times a year. It rained a couple times and we didn't get wet.
The poles and tent are color coded. First time we set it up was in the dark and we had no problems. Tent kept shelter from wind n rain only draw back we went a little thick on mattress n level with top of box so contact with pillow n area not covered with rain shield pillow was damp, thinner mattress n we would of been fine. Set up takes a little while the FIRST time, with instructions attached to the bag. Cut our set up time in half at camp site by being familiar with instructions. Decided to set it up at home prior to our first camping trip. |
Create the ultimate camping oasis wherever your truck takes you.
Still, the tent has a grand total of six poles that are color-coded to matching sleeves on the tent, so it's hard to get wrong. There are two small (maybe 12″ high) vent windows near the top of the dome for more ventilation.
Again, with the rain it was nice to be able to get in and out without worrying about water dripping into the tent. Just used this tent over the weekend and was so glad to have it. Overall it is well-designed and functions better than expected. I do warn if you have a bed cover do not put on top of it. Everyone camping had to come check it out.
With a thin sleeping pad under me, I was surprised how comfortable everything felt. It's airtight, totally rainproof and we even love the bag it comes in as it extends to ensure it'll fit once you're done. It's easy to set up and take down.
This tent is great for camping most anywhere. Excellent quality, neat pockets and features on the inside and fits perfectly on our Toyota Tundra!! Easy to set up after dry run.Need a remedy for the rain fly over the windows ,they lay flat against the windows during a rainstorm if there is a way to pull them outward would help airflow better.Awning is a great feature! The tent has so many great features. It is easy to set up and take down.
By ensuring the tent was evenly spaced out. Set up Video made it look so easy. Please note that water drops through the needle holes along the seams is common with all tents and is not a manufacturer's defect.
For additional protection and product maintenance, you may wish to use a seam sealant on your tent. Our tents already have a water-resistant coating on them. Will the Truck Tent work if my truck has a camper shell/cap on it?
As long as the back rack does not intrude onto the rails of the truck too far, it should not impact the functionality of the tent. Will the Truck Tent work with a Back Rack (Headache Rack)? If the rolled-up tonneau cover is more than 6” high, you will have to either remove the tonneau cover completely or place the truck tent up against the tonneau cover.
If the rolled-up tonneau cover is less than 6” high, yes you can place the truck tent over the tonneau cover. Will the tent fit with a tonneau cover? The first set-up should take approximately 15 minutes and about 10 minutes each time thereafter.

Measure the truck bed with the tailgate closed.
The tent does not breath moisture out and you will wake up with inside tent roof wet which in turns drips onto your bedding. Could not close the door with zipper because green door pole shattered due to the pole being a little
too long causing excessive stress on it. Can not close windows or door of the tent to retain heat if it is really cold outside. Maybe next time I'll leave the rainfly off.
Setup Instructions: Grey poles form an X on the top outer roof. Setup was hard at first but 2nd time around was a lot easier. I put this on my 2018 Toyota Tacoma Long Bed and it truly fits like a glove!
If you plan to use this tent for 2 people, You need to SPOON. Allow you to sleep in the tent. I use a piece of wafer board under the tent to protect my back from the ridges of the bed of my pickup, then add a foton matress inside tent once erected (air matresses lose air as it cools at night).
Is there a Truck Tent for the Honda Ridgeline? Begin by measuring the bed of your truck with the tailgate closed. How do I know what model of tent to order for my truck?
This isn't easy and the poles kept coming out of their sockets. All in all it was a comfortable fit and I was able to put my queen mattress in the bed by creating a second level with some wood.
That part makes all of the difference setting up the tent. You need to insure that this black pole pushes down between the bed of your truck and the cab. 5.0 out of 5 stars Best truck tent for the money!
Also in the photo you will see the PV 203C air bed which fits the Colorado in canyon absolutely perfectly. One time use perhaps, Otherwise I do not recommend this product. Good cross ventilation.Breaks down easy and compact.
Pros - easy to set up.Secure. 5.0 out of 5 stars Easy to set up and secure. Absolutely love it. Fits a 2015 Toyota Tacoma access cab with the six foot bed.
